April 3, Sunday, ANNUAL SANTA CRUZ BRITISH MOTORCAR CLUB MEETING, Tour, Member's car show, lunch awards and meeting.

April 9, Saturday, SOUTH COUNTY BACKROADS TOUR. Planned by our member Joe Cain who also invites the Triumph Club. Stops include Gilroy Hot Springs for a docent lead tour and picnic, a donation of $10 per adult is asked. The driveway into the Hot Springs is dusty with some rough spots, we will go slowly. April 29 and 30th. NORTH MEETS SOUTH.The Paradise British Car Club in San Luis Obispo, host this biennial event known as North Meets South, evolved over the years to an All British Car Club, which it is today. The first “North Meets South” event was held in 1978. Over the years, as the club evolved, so did the NMS event to become host to all marques of British cars, but it has never lost its Central Coast charm,. Info at:

May 15, Sunday, ALL BRITISH MOTORING SHOW AND SWAP MEET,Held at Dixon Fair Grounds on North First Street. 200-250 cars, to show your car a $30 pre-registration fee is due by April 28th, a commemorative shirt, dash plaque and goody back is included. If not showing, admission is free. This popular meet is about a three-hour drive from Santa Cruz and has the best swap meet in California. To register go to

June 25-26 CENTRAL COAST CLASSIC FUN RALLY Saturday and Sunday (TWO DAYS PARTICIPATION REQUIRED)A limited registration fun rally. Saturday will include approximately four hours of nonfreeway driving, with a box lunch at a specific location on route. Overnight accommodations, catered dinner and Sunday breakfast at the historic Hacienda Inn at Fort Hunter Liggett. This scenic building was designed by Julia Morgan to serve as the hunting lodge for William Randolph Hearst, and has been reserved entirely for SCBMC drivers and navigators. Sunday's drive takes us through Los Padres National forest and over the Santa Lucia range to Highway 1, then north to home for a three-hour drive. Further details and registration coming soon! July 10, Sunday, RUN TO KIRIGIN CELLARS,Tour from Chevron in Watsonville to the Kirigin Winnery in Gilroy. There will be a car show on the winery's beautiful lawns, wine tasting, winery tour and lunch will be provided. Organized by Bob and Judy Petrokas. August 16, Tuesday, CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA CONCOURS ON THE AVENUEThis is a free show (for spectators) during the Monterey Historics week. August 17, Wednesday, THE LITTLE CAR SHOW.Held in downtown Pacific Grove on Lighthouse Ave. from 11 noon to 5 pm. This is the sixth year for this specialty show. Only cars of 1601 cc or less are allowed. Many attending cars are British, so MG’s, Sprites, Midgets and other little cars be sure to register and attend. No entry fee. August 17, Wednesday, MONTEREY CAR WEEK RALLY.A fun event organized by the charity, Guglielmo’s Hope for Orphans. A variety of cars entered from new Ferraris to MGTD’s. August 18 - 21, Thursday through Sunday, ROLEX MOTORSPORTS REUNIONDescribed as a museum springing to life, this is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness. Lots of crowds and great historic car displays. The club does not try to drive as a group due to large crowds, waiting lines and high prices ($65-$95) However, you are urged to attend the races, auctions and Pebble Beach Concours to see the best collection of cars in the world.

Ausust 28 Sunday TOUR TO PARADISE PARK,Destination will be the Historic Paradise Park in Santa Cruz Mountains. Drive will include a stop at the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Hatchery located up the coast. Paradise Park Historian will also give a presentation before the picnic lunch. September 17 – 18, Saturday & Sunday, BRITISH FALL CLASSIC.In downtown Morgan Hill. This is our one remaining large British Car Show. Please support it or we will have no local show. October 2 Sunday REDWOOD ROLL.This is the second year for a scenic drive into Santa Cruz Mountain roads northeast of the city by organizers, Emile Dellaquila and John Christensen. They have selected a new fun route and different quality restaurant for lunch this year. Time and Meeting place will be announced closer to the event.

November 13, Sunday, RIVER ROAD TOURinto Monterey County and the Carmel Valley. This is a beautiful, relaxing drive into an area that we don't get to drive too often. Tim Clark is the organizer for this event and it planes to offer some surprises. Times and meeting location to come closer to the event.
